After seeing Taylor Swift, we can’t seem to relax.

Fans were buzzing on May 18 as the legendary singer prepared for New York University’s commencement ceremony at Yankee Stadium, where she would earn an honorary doctorate from the school: Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa.

Swift shared a TikTok video of herself getting ready for the ceremony before taking the stage. She captioned the photo, “Wearing a cap and gown for the first time.” “NYU, I’ll see you shortly.”

Swift has been generally out of the spotlight since releasing Red (Taylor’s Version) in November, so this will be a rare appearance. That month, she appeared on Saturday Night Live and at the 2021 Aria Awards and the 2021 American Music Awards via video messages. Swift has kept a low profile since then, celebrating her 32nd birthday, spending time with her family, and most recently attending an Oscars party with her longterm boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

At the March 25 event, hosted at Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif., the “Lover” singer and the Conversations With Friends actor “looked very much in love and were together the most of the night,” according to a source.

“Taylor was conversing with Zo Kravitz at the bar for a while,” the person claimed. “They were both laughing and smiling at each other.”
