According to different insider sources close to Apple, the Apple iPhone 14 may have many release dates rather than a single release date. Many important Apple suppliers are expected to miss deadlines as a result of the Chinese lockdown, causing delays, according to sources.
As TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), have highlighted, the disparity in iPhone 14 launch dates has appeared around the world.
This isn’t the first time a split release has occurred.
In any case, this isn’t the first time the iPhone has taken this approach. Apple has previously used the same method with the iPhone 12/ iPhone 12 Mini. The split sales technique was also used for the initial sales of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
Kuo also refuted a previous ET News report that claimed supply issues caused Apple to install a front-facing camera module for the iPhone 15 a year early and at a high expense.
“This report does not exactly match my understanding,” Kuo explains. “It would be nearly hard to catch up with the development timeline for 2H22 iPhone 14 if LG Innotek became the front camera supplier for iPhone 14 in 2Q22 (second quarter of 2022).” I believe Apple had already selected LG Innotek and Cowell as front camera suppliers for the iPhone 14 by 4Q21 (fourth quarter of 2021).”
This backs up Kuo’s earlier comments that iPhone 14 production is “now under control.” According to a Forbes story, both Nikkei Asia and Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu predict that supplies of the iPhone 14 Max will be delayed by over a month.
Between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro, there’s a chasm.
Whether or not the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will be released together, recent leaks have showed two quite different iPhones. While the basic iPhone 14 models will have the same design, chipset, and rear cameras as the iPhone 13, the iPhone 14 Pro models will have advancements in all three areas, as well as higher costs.
The iPhone 14 Pro will have a starting price of $1099, according to reports. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, will cost $1199.
The A16 processor is expected to be used in the iPhone 14 Pro versions. The iPhone 14 (non-Pro) versions, on the other hand, are believed to include an A15 processor. The A15 processor is now available in iPhone 13 variants. The A16 chipset is projected to be speedier than the A15 in terms of processing.
Furthermore, the iPhone 14 series will comprise four smartphones, but not the small version. This means that every smartphone will have a screen larger than 6 inches. iPhone 14 (6.1 inch), iPhone 14 Pro (6.1 inch), iPhone 14 Max (6.7 inch), and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be part of the iPhone 14 series (6.7 inch).
Price of iPhone 14 in India
In India, mobile-selling websites have set the price of the iPhone 14 at Rs 99,990, with a September 8 delivery date predicted. They are cautious, though, and refer to it as a ‘unofficial date.’ According to 91mobiles.com, the Apple iPhone 14 includes three cameras: a 48 megapixel primary camera, a 13 megapixel secondary camera, and a 13 megapixel front camera. It also sports the world’s first 48 megapixel camera sensor capable of recording 8K films.
A Hexa-Core (Dual-core, 3.1GHz, Firestorm + Quad-core, 1.8GHz, Icestorm) CPU and an Apple M14 motion co-processor power the iPhone 14. The smartphone also includes a non-replaceable 3815mAh Li-ion battery and a 5nm Apple A14 Bionic CPU with 6GB RAM and an Apple GPU.
It offers standout qualities such as dust resistance and water resistance. It does, however, state that “the internal storage is only 64GB (non-expandable) and the battery power is very ordinary.” The phone is expected to come in two colours: black and gold.
