Bangalore’s Vanindu Hasaranga grabbed the most wickets with five. Bangalore also avenged its prior defeat at the hands of Hyderabad. After defeating Bangalore by 68 runs, Hyderabad won the first match of the season by 9 wickets.

Vanindu Hasaranga took two wickets in his final over and finished the match with a total of five wickets. In two consecutive balls, he sent Shashank Singh and Umran Malik to the pavilion without allowing any runs in this over.
